NYS 5-hour pre-licensing via zoom

Peekskill Professional Driving School offers classes for the NYS 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course for driving students to secure their MV-278 Certificate or the Pre-licensing Course Certificate required by the DMV.

The certificate is part of the requirements when applying for a New York driver’s license. The Pre-Licensing Course must be attended in person and will cover these subjects:

  • Car-Restraint Systems
  • Defensive Driving Methods and Techniques
  • Driver Safety (Skills, Emotional State and Attitude when Driving)
  • Drug and Alcohol Impairment
  • The DMV point system
  • Traffic Rules to Follow

Your certificate, once issued after completing the course will be valid for 1 year.
